Brent and Shane Kinsman (born November 13, 1997 ) are American actors born as twins. They are best known for the television series Desperate Housewives , in which they played from 2004 to 2008.

Brent and Shane live in southern California with their parents Grant and Jeannette Kinsman . In addition to video games, her hobbies include sports such as inline skating , motocross and dirt bike riding . The brothers can hardly be distinguished by their appearance, only a birthmark on Brent's forehead distinguishes them.

First steps

The two were discovered as it corresponds to a Hollywood cliché: By chance at the age of 4 they met a talent scout from the "AKA Talent Agency" at a LA Dodgers baseball game and were immediately signed up. Shortly afterwards, the twins' first TV appearance in an advertisement for Tylenol , an American drug brand.

"Cheaper in dozens"

Her first big screen hit followed in 2003 with Cheaper By The Dozen , the 1950 American remake of a classic in which she starred alongside stars like Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt . In this family comedy, Brent and Shane appear as a wild duo that has to assert itself as the youngest member of a family of 14.

While the first episode of the film was still a great success at the box office, the sequel two years later was not well received by critics or audiences. Two of the leading actors were even nominated for the Golden Raspberry , Hollywood's “anti- Oscar ”. But neither Eugene Levy nor Hilary Duff received the dubious award for outstanding poor acting. While the first part stuck to the originals from the 1950s, the sequel is not based on any old template.

For their role as Kyle and Nigel Baker, Brent and Shane Kinsman won the "Best Young Ensemble Award" along with the other children in the film.

"Desperate Housewives"

The twins' last project to date is probably also their best-known and is seen as a springboard for a great career: Desperate Housewives , one of the most successful US television series in recent years with Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross and Eva Longoria in the leading roles. Here, too, the two brothers played a devilish double pack: As children with ADHD syndrome, they tyrannized their mother Lynette Scavo (played by Felicity Huffman ) in every episode to the point of white heat.

Here, too, the Kinsman brothers won an award: together with other actors from the “Housewives” they received the title “Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble”. Your notoriety from this series also means that, on 24 January 2006 led Jay Leno in his Tonight Show were guests.

In 2008, Brent and Shane Kinsman were released from their contracts by Desperate Housewives as the following season takes place five years later. They were replaced by Charlie and Max Carver .
