Bonnie Hunt

Bonnie Lynn Hunt (born September 22, 1961 in Chicago , Illinois ) is an American actress , comedian , film producer , screenwriter and director .
life and career
Hunt grew up a strict Catholic and has six siblings. She attended Catholic schools and was at Notre Dame High School for girls. In the meantime she worked as a nurse . In 1986 she became a member of The Second City , a theater company .
Hunt also enjoyed success as an actress. Her first major film was Rain Man , but she was only briefly seen as a waitress in it. This was followed by various roles, including in A Dog Called Beethoven , Jumanji , Cheaper In The Dozen , The Green Mile and Jerry Maguire . Hunt also works as a voice actress. She also had her own TV show (The Bonnie Hunt Show) from 1995.
In 2000 she made her debut as a director with Back to You , with David Duchovny among others .
In 2017 she was accepted into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), which awards the Oscars every year.
Personal
In 1988 Hunt married investment banker John Murphy, and they divorced in 2005.
