Brett Somers

Brett Somers (* 11 July 1924 in Saint John , New Brunswick , Canada as Audrey summer ; † 15. September 2007 in Westport , Connecticut ) was an American actress and comedienne .

Life

Brett Somers in 1924 in Saint John in the Canadian province of born New Brunswick. In 1953 she married the actor Jack Klugman , with whom she had sons Adam and David. In 1974 Somers and Klugman separated but did not get divorced. The actress died of cancer at the age of 83.

Career

Brett Somers became known in the United States as a television film and series actress. She has had numerous recurring roles and guest appearances on popular series such as Ben Casey , Männerwirtschaft , Barney Miller and many more. She was also a popular guest on game shows like Hollywood Squares . From the 1970s she had a permanent place at the side of Charles Nelson Reilly in the prominent candidate team of the game show Match Game . In addition, she appeared on stage nationwide as a theater actress.
