Friedrich Tenkrat (born December 18, 1939 in Vienna ) is an Austrian author of trivial novels who has published under the pseudonyms Brian Ford , Edgar Tarbot , Anne Karen and AF Morland .

Life

The son of a Viennese tram driver learned the profession of typesetter and worked as a proofreader for the Süddeutsche Zeitung before he became a freelance writer . Tenkrat has been married since 1966 and has two grown children. He lives in his hometown Vienna.

Friedrich Tenkrat has been writing novels in the field of romantic thrillers since 1969 . This form of literature was cultivated for many years at VPM in the Gaslight series . Most of Tenkrat's works were also published here. He was also given the honor of writing the first novel for the Gaslicht Taschenhefte series , its title: House of the Cursed . According to the genre, Friedrich Tenkrat's novels are mainly set in dark houses, parks and forests against the backdrop of mysterious crimes.

Friedrich Tenkrat also wrote a great number of novels and paperbacks for the Bastei crime novel series Jerry Cotton (including the anniversary paperback 500 "Lifetime for Phil Decker" ).

One of his greatest successes was the mystery series Tony Ballard , which he wrote under the pseudonym AF Morland and which was published by Bastei Verlag until 1990. Despite the success, he decided to end this series with volume 200 ( "Hell dies" ). Years later, he described this step as a major mistake. A sequel by Tony Ballard, is published in Daemon Land No. 75 by Bastei-Verlag. Since 2005 new adventures have been published in hardcover by Zaubermond Verlag . A new edition of the old Tony Ballard books has been available from Romantruhe since the beginning of 2006 . Double volumes are offered here in book form as a collector's edition. Pocket books are also published by Romantruhe, which continue with the Tony Ballard series after the hardcover books by Zaubermond Verlag.

His oeuvre currently amounts to around 1,400 booklet novels and 2,000 true stories and short novels.
