Eamon (musician)

Eamon (* 19th September 1983 in New York City ; actually Eamon Doyle ) is an American hip-hop - musicians and Contemporary R & B - singer . He became famous for his single Fuck It (I Don't Want You Back) in 2003.

Eamon was born in 1983 on Staten Island , New York , to Walter Doyle, a member of a doo-wop group . He has two older siblings. At the age of nine he first appeared as a singer on a stage. At 15, Eamon was discovered by producer Milk Dee , who had previously worked with MC Lyte , Janet Jackson and Mary J. Blige . Dee and his co-producer Mark Passy began fine-tuning the sound of Eamon.

In late 2003, Eamon's first single, Fuck It (I Don't Want You Back) was released . It immediately conquered the radio stations in the cities of the United States . Eamon's record company Jive Zomba sent a video afterwards and commissioned the production of an entire album, which should be released in early 2004. The single reached the top 20 on the US Billboard charts and in the wake of this success the album I Don't Want You Back also climbed into the top 10. After this success in the US, Jive Zomba decided to release it in other countries. There, too, the single sold accordingly. It reached number one on the charts in Great Britain , New Zealand and Sweden and number two in Australia . In May 2004 he reached number one in the single charts in Germany . In Italy , the song was also released as a "solo" in Italian.

After the success of Fuck It , the second single I Love Them Ho’s (Ho-Wop) was released. This was much less successful and made it to number 55 in Germany. The music video of the song contains a feature with Wu-Tang Clan member Ghostface Killah . In return, Eamon appeared on Ghostface's album More Fish .

On September 15, 2006 Eamon released his first single from his second album Love & Pain called (How Could You) Bring Him Home , which could only achieve chart positions in Great Britain and Italy. On December 5, 2006, his album Love & Pain was released

After Jive Records failed to market Eamon's second album well, he left the label in 2008, with the condition that he was not allowed to sign a contract for 18 months. In 2010 he moved to Los Angeles . In 2011 he signed a two-album contract with the independent label SMC Entertainment worth 1 million US dollars. He started working on a new album with Mikal Blue . Almost immediately, SMC did not want to pay for all costs, but Eamon and Mikal Blue continued to produce. Legal steps were taken at the end of 2012. At the same time, SMC's financier David Levy was arrested for stock fraud. This gave Eamon more leverage in the litigation, but not enough to rid him of his contract. In 2013 Levey was sentenced to nine years in prison. The album was completed in September 2012, but since Eamon was still under contract with SMC, he was not allowed to release the album or perform in public. But he was able to work with other artists. He appeared on the album Legends Never Die of Man RA the Rugged . In 2014 he was released from his contract, with the condition that he was not allowed to publish most of the songs from his album.

In 2015 he appeared on the Jedi Mind Tricks album The Thief and the Fallen . On September 15, 2017, he released his third album, Golden Rail Motel . On February 21, 2018 Eamon announced that he was working on a concept album with Patrick Hewitt aka "Pat Bae".
