Brian Gipperich (born March 1, 1997 ) is a German handball player . He is under contract with the handball Bundesliga club Bergischer HC and is currently loaned to HC Rhein Vikings .
Career
Brian Gipperich first came into contact with handball at the TV Sulz at the age of five . Until the C-youth, the son of the former junior national player Christoph Gipperich also competed in soccer and athletics. After he had moved from Baden-Württemberg to Wuppertal with his family , he went to the Bergisches HC via TV Beyeröhde and JSG Wuppertal ( Oberliga ) . There he became a permanent fixture in the A youth team and made his first Bundesliga appearance in the 2014/15 season . In the 2015/16 season he was used both in the major league in the 2nd team and in the Bundesliga, in which he scored three goals in 14 games. For the 2016/17 season , Gipperich was awarded to third division club Neusser HV . With Neuss, he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2017 . Since then, the men's teams from Neuss and the HSG Düsseldorf have been playing as HC Rhein Vikings.
In his youth, Gipperich was appointed to the selection teams of the Niederrhein handball association and also used in the right back space, although he actually plays as the right winger.
