Brian MacCabe
Brian MacCabe ( Brian Farmer MacCabe; born January 9, 1914 in the London Borough of Brent , † October 31, 1992 in Beaconsfield ) was a British middle-distance runner and sprinter .
At the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, he was ninth in the 800 m .
In 1938 he won silver at the British Empire Games in Sydney with the English four-by-440-yard relay. He finished sixth over 880 yards , and eliminated over 440 yards.
He set his personal best over 880 yards of 1: 52.9 min (corresponds to 1: 52.2 min over 800 m) on February 5, 1938 in Sydney .
