Brian MacLaren

Brian MacLaren (born December 21, 1943 in Winnipeg ) is a retired Canadian middle-distance runner and sprinter .

In 1966 he won silver in the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston with the Canadian 4-by-440-yard relay, and in 1967 he took bronze in the 800 m and silver in the 4-by-400 at the Pan American Games in Winnipeg. Meter relay .

At the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City, he retired from the Canadian 4 x 400 meter relay in the preliminary run. In 1972 he failed at the Olympic Games in Munich both over 400 m and in the 4 x 400 meter relay in the first round.

In 1972 he set his personal best over 400 m with 47.3 seconds.

In 1989 he was inducted into the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame .
