Brian Steen Nielsen (born December 28, 1968 in Vejle ) is a former Danish football player and today's football official and player adviser.
Career
Club player
Nielsen started playing football in the youth of the club in his hometown Vejle BK . There he received his first professional contract in 1988 and played a total of 92 league games by 1992, in which the defensive midfielder scored four goals. For the 1992/93 season he moved to Odense BK and won the Danish Football Cup in 1993 with the team . In 1994 he joined Fenerbahçe Istanbul in Turkey, from where he returned to Odense after just one year. In 1996 he moved to Urawa Red Diamonds , where Nielsen only played six games in two years. The years between 1998 and 2001 were more successful, where he scored ten goals in 84 league games at AB Gladsaxe and won the Danish Cup again in 1999. From July 2001 to July 2002 he worked for the Swedish club Malmö FF , before ending his career at Aarhus GF between 2002 and 2004 .
National team
On February 14, 1990 Nielsen made his debut for the Danish national soccer team . With this he qualified years later successfully for the 1995 King Fahd Cup , the Football EM 1996 and 2000 and the 2002 World Cup . Nielsen made 66 international appearances and scored three goals.

On July 1st, 2004 Nielsen became the sporting director of his last club, Aarhus GF . He held this post until the end of the 2013/14 season. He has been working as a consultant since 2015.

Panama Papers
In 2016, the name Nielsens appeared in the Panama Papers , according to which the Dane founded the company Ress Star Team Inc. as a mailbox company in the British Virgin Islands in 2002 .
