The Briesensee is a body of water in the town of Teupitz in the Dahme-Spreewald district of Brandenburg .

description

The lake is located in the southwest of the city in a forest area that is part of the Briesensee and Klingeberg nature reserve . It is fed by springs and flows over the Briesengraben in an easterly direction into the Tornower See . It can be reached via a circular hiking trail with a yellow marking from Teupitz, Tornow and Neuendorf . Autochthonous pines grow around the lake . The water quality itself is described in a brochure of the Dahme-Heideseen Nature Park as not very good due to the "excessive fish stocking".

In the neighborhood

The Tornower See (approx. 800 m away) and the Tütschensee (approx. 1.9 km away) are within a radius of less than two kilometers . To the north of the lake, the Dahmeland branch of the NABU has placed a memorial stone for the botanist Adolf Strauss .
