Brigitte Doppagne

Brigitte Doppagne (born July 13, 1961 in Cologne ) is a German writer .

Life

Brigitte Doppagne studied German , Japanese , ethnology and English at the universities in Cologne and Paris . She completed this course in 1989 with a master's degree . After long stays in Mexico , England , France and Belgium , she has lived as a freelance writer in Cologne since 1990.

Brigitte Doppagne is the author of narrative works, travelogues , biographies and radio plays . She received a scholarship from the Barkenhoff Foundation in 1990 and 1993, a scholarship from the Akademie Schloss Solitude in 1992 , the Rolf Dieter Brinkmann scholarship from the city of Cologne in 1993, a grant from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia for young artists in 1994, and in 1996 the Culture award of the district of Cuxhaven and in 2006 a working grant for writers from the North Rhine-Westphalian State Chancellery .
