Brigitte Fuchs

Brigitte Fuchs (born February 6, 1951 in Widnau , Canton St. Gallen ) is a Swiss author and poet .

Career

Brigitte Fuchs grew up in Widnau in the Sankt Gallen Rhine Valley and completed the teachers' seminar in Rorschach . She worked as a teacher in the canton of Sankt Gallen and in the canton of Aargau . She has lived in Teufenthal since 1979 . She writes poetry, short prose, aphorisms, children's poems as well as linguistic texts. Her texts have appeared in magazines and anthologies, and some have been translated into other languages. She also designed a series of Christmas cards for UNICEF for the year 2000 and 2001 a postcard for the "Network of Writing Women". From 1995 to 2003 she was an editor at the Ex Libris Club magazine.

Brigitte Fuchs is a member of Swiss Authors .

  • 2015 Poem "Landlaufiges" was selected by an international jury for "Poetic Switzerland No 2"
  • In 2016 among the winners (5th – 10th place) in the aphorism competition of the sponsoring association DAphA German Aphorism Archive Hattingen
