Brigitte von Rechenberg

Brigitte Freifrau von Rechenberg (born October 4, 1890 in Berlin , † December 6, 1967 in Basel ) was a German writer who published under the pseudonym Frau Brigitte .

She was married to the writer Friedrich Georg Freiherr von Rechenberg , from whom she probably received suggestions for writing her own stories and children's books . They lived together as a young couple with their four children (hence the book Mein Viergespann ) initially in Wernigerode am Harz before they preferred to leave Nazi Germany in the mid-1930s and settle in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland . Brigitte von Rechenberg last lived in Basel, where she died at the age of 77. She did not publish any more books in the last years of her life.
