Britt - The talk at one was a talk show that was usually broadcast Monday to Friday at 1 p.m. on Sat.1 . The broadcast lasted around 60 minutes (including advertising) and was moderated by Britt Hagedorn . The first episode was broadcast on January 8, 2001, as the successor to the talk show Sonja , which until then was broadcast daily at 1:00 p.m. The last regular episode ran on March 28, 2013. After The Oliver Geissen Show was discontinued in 2009, Britt was the last remaining broadcast of the once very widespread daily talk genre on German television.

From June 26, 2004 to February 23, 2008, the talk show was also broadcast on Saturdays at 1:00 p.m., but then gave way to the repeat collection Best of Talk .

The program was produced by Schwartzkopff TV-Productions (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Axel Springer AG through AS Venture GmbH , Springer's venture capital subsidiary ) in Hamburg .

Highlights of the program have been broadcast on Sat.1 Gold since January 17, 2013 . On March 20, 2013, it was announced that Sat.1 would discontinue the show in July 2013.

On March 28, 2013, Sat.1 decided at short notice to remove the program from its program with immediate effect. Until the beginning of June, however, new episodes were produced and shown in the late evening program of Sat.1 Gold. With the cancellation of the "Daily Talk" (except for repetitions) meanwhile disappeared completely from German television.

On July 12, 2013, Sat.1 broadcast the actual farewell program on the original slot. This was moderated by Vera Int-Veen .

Topic selection

The show preferred topics about alleged paternity, affairs and lies. Most of the topics were formulated sensationally and had adapted to the level of many US talk shows, with the exception that the guests were not allowed to attack each other physically. Insults were not uncommon, as were tears. During the results of the lie detector test and the paternity test , the studio was darkened and dramatic music played, and a special "messenger" of the results was established within the program, which was greeted by the audience with the phrase "Mark with the silver case". Individual viewers were able to make comments on situations and often commented on statements or polygraph results with applause or boos.
