Britta Katharina Dassler (born July 22, 1964 in Jülich ) is a German politician ( FDP ) and has been a member of the German Bundestag since 2017 .

biography

Britta Dassler graduated from high school in 1983. After completing a bank apprenticeship and studying savings bank business administration , she worked in her profession. After qualifying through an association exam, she was employed in this area from 1989 to 1994 at the Rheinischer Sparkassen- und Giroverband . Since 1994 she has been freelance and is the owner of the industrial agency "Arte di vivere", Herzogenaurach. Dassler is married to the grandson of Rudolf Dassler , founder of the sporting goods manufacturer Puma , and has two sons.

Dassler is a Roman Catholic denomination.

Party and politics

Dassler has been city ​​councilor of Herzogenaurach since 2008 and a member of the district council of the Erlangen-Höchstadt district . From 2015 to 2019 she was deputy state chairwoman of the FDP Bavaria .

For the 2017 federal election , Dassler stood as an FDP candidate in the Erlangen constituency and was elected to the 19th German Bundestag via position 9 on the FDP Bavarian state list . There she is a full member of the Sports Committee and the Committee for Education, Research and Technology Assessment . In the sports committee, she is the chairwoman and spokesperson for sports policy for the Free Democrats . She is also a deputy member of the Committee on Economic Affairs and Energy .
