Britta Huttenlocher

Britta Huttenlocher (born July 30, 1962 in Chur ) is a Swiss artist.

Live and act

Britta Huttenlocher grew up in Winterthur . Her great-grandfather was the German sculptor Ferdinand Huttenlocher . From 1981 to 1983 she studied at the University of Design in Zurich and from 1983 to 1987 at the Academie Minerva in Groningen .

From 1987 to 1989 she worked at the Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht . After 1989 Huttenlocher lived and worked first in Amsterdam , then later in Zurich. She works with large-format paintings, watercolors and drawings and also works as a printmaker.

In 1999 she was awarded the Manor Art Prize of the Canton of Zurich in Winterthur .
