Broad Ripple is a neighborhood in northern Indianapolis .
In the 18th century, Broad Ripple was an independent place, but it was incorporated into Indianapolis in 1922 . Broad Ripple has kept its character as its own place to this day and is therefore also one of the most popular starting points in Indianapolis. The bars, restaurants and boutiques are particularly popular on weekends.
