From December 2010 Seger took part in FIS races and national championships. His first appearances in the Nor-Am Cup followed a year later. In February 2013 he was able to finish in the points for the first time in this racing series and win an FIS race for the first time. Seger was a pretty good slalom rider in his junior years, but gradually began to turn to the fast disciplines. In February 2015 he achieved his first top 10 result in the Nor-Am Cup in the Super-G discipline. In the same month he won the Canadian championship in the same discipline. His first podium finish in the Nor-Am Cup was on February 9, 2016 in the giant slalom on Whiteface Mountain . With three more podium places, he took first place in the Super-G discipline ranking in the 2016/17 season .
Seger made his debut in the World Cup on November 26, 2017 in the Super-G of Lake Louise , which he finished in 56th place. He scored his first World Cup points on January 25, 2019 with a 16th place in the Hahnenkamm downhill run on the Streif in Kitzbühel .
