Bronislaw Chromy
Bronisław Chromy (born June 3, 1925 in Leńcze near Kalwaria Zebrzydowska , Poland ; † October 4, 2017 in Kraków ) was a Polish sculptor , painter , medalist , draftsman and professor at the Cracow School of Art . He was also a member of the Polish Academy of Sciences .
Life
Bronisław Chromy attended a secondary school of fine arts and the Cracow School of Art. There he was a student of Xawery Dunikowski, among others . Chromy graduated in 1956.

Bronisław Chromy's works are in the collections of the Muzeum Narodowe in Warsaw and the National Museum in Krakow, as well as in the Museum of Medal Art in Wroclaw and the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum .
His most famous works are: " Smok Wawelski " (Wawel Dragon) in Krakow from 1969, the monument to the Piwnica pod Baranami ("Cellar to the rams") in Krakow from 2000 and the monument to John Paul II. in Tarnów from 1981.
