Brooke Anne Smith (born March 25, 1984 in Aurora , Colorado ) is an American actress .

Life

Smith has an older brother and a younger brother. She is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University , where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology.

In 2000 she had her first television role in an episode of the television series A Heavenly Family . In 2001 she was cast in the feature film Max Keeble's Big Plan . In 2013 she played the role of Angelique Welch in the television series Awkward - My so-called life three episodes . In the same year she was seen in the disaster film Destruction: Las Vegas . From 2016 to 2017 she played the Shelby Hayes in 16 episodes of the television series Too Close to Home .
