Bruderhof (Havelsee)

The Bruderhof is a residential area in the city of Havelsee . It is located in the Hohenferchesar district on a former clay pit lake connected to the Pritzerber See or an extension of the Pritzerber See in the center of the city. The Bruderhof developed similarly to the Rote Ziegelei near Fohrde on the site of a former brickworks . For many years it was owned by the Brandenburg magistrate Lothar Kreyssig , who lived on it from 1937 to 1971. In 1996 his son Uwe Kreyssig returned to the Bruderhof and lived there with his wife Hella Jansen until his death in 2008. There is a campsite and a holiday home complex on the Bruderhof.

The former brick factory is located in the Westhavelland Nature Park . The campsite beyond the nature reserve Lower Havel South , in the conservation area Westhavelland, the FFH area lowlands of the Lower Havel / Gülper See and the SPA area (European bird sanctuary) lowlands of the Lower Havel.
