geography

Geographical location

The hamlet of Brunnhausen is located in the Pfullendorf district in Andelsbachtal . The “ Taubenried ” nature reserve is also located here . The original reed landscape is disturbed by river straightening and drainage. Road construction was always associated with effort: During excavation work for the extension of the district road 8272 between Spitalmühle and the confluence with Brunnhausen, a billet dam made of spruce trunks was found, which served as a support grid for the old road. The maintenance of the ditches and brooks is the task of the “Taubenried-Brunnhauser Ried Water and Soil Association”. Brunnhausen can be reached from the Rosslauf through the Eichberg forest district via an avenue around 600 meters long.
