Bruno Ertler

Bruno Ertler (born January 29, 1889 in Pernitz , Lower Austria, † December 10, 1927 in Graz ) was an Austrian writer .

Life

Bruno Ertler came from a postmaster family. During his school days he became a member of the pennal-conservative fraternity of Styria Graz in 1904 . During his studies he was one of the co-founders of the Association of German Students VDSt Philadelphia Graz . In 1916 he received his doctorate. phil. and later teaches as a newspaper editor at the Karl-Franzens University in Graz . Bruno Ertler is best known as a writer for his two dramas The Game by Doctor Faust (1923) and Belian and Marpalye (1924). He is buried in the St. Leonhard Cemetery in Graz . In Pernitz and Graz there is the Bruno-Ertler-Gasse named after him .
