Bruno Ferry (born May 6, 1967 in Châtel-sur-Moselle ) is a former French football goalkeeper .

Career

Ferry moved up in 1984 as a 17-year-old in the squad of the third division SAS Épinal . For this he played eleven games in his first season and guarded the goal several times in the two following seasons. At the beginning of the 1987/88 season he became a regular player and drew attention to himself with good performances, so that in 1989 he was signed by the second division club SC Abbeville . There he had to fight against the competition of Philippe Flucklinger and Eric Pégorer , which is why he did not come to a single use and left the club in 1990. He decided to return to Épinal, which had meanwhile been promoted to the second division, but had to take the reserve role behind Jean-Pascal Singla . Nevertheless, he made his second division and thus his professional debut in the 1990/91 season. After Singlas left, Ferry was able to prevail against Jean-Michel Simonella and was a regular goalkeeper when he had to accept relegation to the third division in 1993. With the resurgence in 1995 a new competitor was signed with Jean-Marc Branger , who ousted Ferry from the gate and moved him to a move to Paris FC in 1996 . In the French capital he initially resumed the position of first goalkeeper, but was ousted again after two years. In 1999 he signed with the US Raon , with whom he fought in vain against relegation in the third division. As a result, he decided to end his career in 2000 at the age of 33.

Life after retirement

A year after it ended, he was hired as a coach at ES Thaon-les-Vosges. He led them in his three-year tenure from the sixth to the fourth division. A little later he took over the coaching position at a club from Golbey and held this until 2010. In the same year he began working for an aid organization, enabling young people from Senegal to play football.
