Châtel-sur-Moselle ( Eng . Muselburg ) is a French commune with 1,702 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Vosges department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement Épinal , the municipality association Agglomération d'Épinal and the canton Charmes .

geography

The community is located on the right bank of the Moselle and the parallel canal Canal des Vosges , about twelve kilometers north of Épinal . In Châtel-sur-Moselle the Durbion joins the Moselle. Neighboring municipalities are Moriville in the north, Hadigny-les-Verrières in the northeast, Zincourt in the east, Vaxoncourt in the southeast, Nomexy in the southwest and Portieux in the northwest.
