Gugnécourt is a French commune in the Vosges department of the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement Épinal and the municipality association Bruyères-Vallons des Vosges, founded in 2014 .

The municipality of Gugnécourt with 238 inhabitants (January 1, 2017) is located on the edge of the Vosges , 15 kilometers northeast of Épinal .

The Durbion , a right tributary of the Moselle, flows through the municipality .

Neighboring municipalities of Gugnécourt are Destord and Nonzeville in the north, Pierrepont-sur-l'Arentèle in the northeast, Grandvillers in the east, Viménil in the south, Méménil in the southwest (point of contact) and Girecourt-sur-Durbion in the west.

Gugnécourt formed a spell of the bailiwick of Bruyères with today's neighboring municipality of Viménil . The parish of Gugnécourt was subordinate to the abbot of the monastery in Moyenmoutier .
