geography
The small community of Hennecourt is located 13 kilometers west of Épinal in the center of the Vosges department.
The approximately 22 kilometer long Gitte , a narrow tributary of the Madon, flows through the southwest of the 7.17 km² municipal area . The Rupt Julot , a small stream that flows into the Gitte from the northeast, forms the gentle, approximately 200-meter-wide valley on which the Hennecourt settlement is based. To the north of the built-up settlement area of the town center is a generously laid out residential area, which is located immediately south of the expressway from Épinal to Vittel .
By far the largest part of the community area consists of agricultural land. Only in the west and north does the municipality have shares in forest areas, which together cover around 40 hectares. The northernmost point of the municipality is also the highest at 419 meters above sea level. It is not far from a lookout point with the monumental Croix de Virine .
