Brouvelieures is a commune in the French department of Vosges in the region of Grand Est (2015 Lorraine ). Until the reorganization of the French cantons, it was the chief town (chief lieu) of the canton of Brouvelieures and until January 1, 2014 also the seat of the communal association Communauté de communes du Canton de Brouvelieures . The village, at 390 meters above sea level, is passed by the Mortagne river . It borders on Fremifontaine to the north-west, Mortagne to the north, Domfaing to the east, Vervezelle to the south-east, Bruyères to the south-west and Grandvillers to the west . The residents call themselves Brouvillois.
