Vomécourt is a French commune with 275 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Vosges department in the Grand Est region . It belongs to the Arrondissement Épinal and the Région de Rambervillers municipal association .

Vomécourt is located about three kilometers southwest of Rambervillers and about 23 kilometers northeast of Épinal in flat undulating terrain between the river valleys of the Moselle and Mortagne .

226 hectares of the 7.03 km² communal area are communal forest ( Bois Fincieux ). This forest area is only a small part of the 100 km² Forêt de Rambervillers . The Padozel , a left tributary of the Mortagne, flows through the municipality of Vomécourt . The terrain is only slightly embossed; only in the wooded northwest there are heights of more than 300 m above sea level. The highest point in the municipality is reached here at 334 m. Immediately south of the village, the field name Haut des vignes is reminiscent of the viticulture that was practiced here until the 19th century.

Neighboring communities of Vomécourt are Rambervillers in the north, Saint-Gorgon in the northeast, Sainte-Hélène in the southeast, Bult in the south and Romont in the northwest.

Vomécourt is on the trunk road that connects Épinal in the Moselle valley with Rambervillers and Baccarat . Another road connection leads from Vomécourt to Bult . The next connection to the motorway-like N57 is about 25 kilometers away.
