geography
The municipality is located about 25 kilometers south of Lunéville on the border with the Meurthe-et-Moselle department . Neighboring municipalities are Saint-Boingt and Essey-la-Côte (Département Meurthe-et-Moselle) in the north, Haillainville in the east, Rehaincourt in the south, Moriville , Portieux and Langley in the southwest, Essegney and Chamagne in the west and Saint-Rémy-aux- Bois (Meurthe-et-Moselle department) in the north-west.
The river Euron runs through Damas-aux-Bois . The western half of the municipality is covered by forest ( Forêt Domamiale de Ternes ), which extends into the Moselle valley .

The D9 trunk road from Charmes to Saint-Pierremont runs through the municipality of Damas-aux-Bois . 15 kilometers to the west, near the town of Charmes, there is a connection to the motorway-like Route nationale 57 from Nancy to Épinal .
