geography

Dommartin-aux-Bois is located on the high plateau of the Vôge about 60 kilometers south of Nancy and 13 kilometers west of Épinal . The North Sea-Mediterranean watershed runs through the municipality. Precipitation in the hamlets of Barbonfaing and Agémont flows south to the Rhone and in the hamlet of Adoncourt to the north via the Gitte to the Rhine .

Neighboring municipalities of Dommartin-aux-Bois are Gorhey in the north, Chaumousey in the northeast, Girancourt in the east, Uzemain in the southeast, Charmois-l'Orgueilleux in the south, Harol in the west and Damas-et-Bettegney (point of contact) in the northwest.
