The Communauté de communes du Canton de Brouvelieures was a communal union ( Communauté de communes ) of eight communities in the Vosges department in Lorraine .

The municipal association had 1,961 inhabitants (2008) on 76.99 km², which corresponded to a population density of 25 inhabitants / km². The seat of the association was the municipality of Brouvelieures . The name is a bit misleading, because two municipalities from the canton of Brouvelieures ( Canton de Brouvelieures ) belonged to the municipal association Val de Neuné .

The area of the association extended in the western foothills of the Vosges in the catchment area of Mortagne , between the cities of Saint-Dié and Épinal .

The local authority association was established on December 29, 1998 in order to bundle the material resources of the small communities and to coordinate the economic and tourist development. The area of responsibility of the municipal association includes spatial planning (including the digitization of the cadastre) as well as cross-municipality economic development, in particular the creation of an inter-municipal commercial area. The Communauté de communes du Canton de Brouvelieures has also set itself the goal of promoting the areas of tourism (including the preparation of a feasibility study for the recommissioning of the Bruyéres-Brouvellieures-Rambervillers railway line), cultural and sports promotion, school transport and operation of the school canteens, maintenance and renaturation the Mortagne and its tributaries as well as wastewater treatment and waste management to work closely together.

On January 1, 2014, the community association merged with the associations L'Arentèle-Durbion-Padozel and Vallée de la Vologne to form the new community association Bruyères-Vallons des Vosges .
