Bruno Glatschke

Bruno Johannes Alois Glatschke (born May 6, 1869 in Friedenshütte (today part of Ruda Śląska ), district of Beuthen , Upper Silesia ; † March 19, 1944 in Falkenberg / Elster , Brandenburg ) was a German doctor.

Life

After graduating from the Royal High School in Beuthen in 1890, he studied medicine at the universities of Breslau , Würzburg and Munich , where he also received his doctorate in 1895. His dissertation was on the topic of "Contribution to the statistics of high stone carving in bladder stones ..." (Verlag J. Hoferdt & C., Breslau 1895). He received his license to practice medicine on July 18, 1895. He then opened a practice in Falkenberg an der Elster.

Glatschke was a popular doctor and was ready day and night to hurry to help in the rural surroundings while driving himself. He also took on the duties of a railway doctor in the area of ​​the Reich Railway Directorate Halle (Saale) . In 1909 he founded the " Cooperative of Voluntary Nurses " for this region and was also its 1st chairman. The secretary at that time was the theologian Prof. Ernst von Dobschütz .

On August 1, 1918, Glatschke was appointed royal Prussian medical council.
