Bruno Martini (born July 3, 1970 in Salon-de-Provence , France ) is a former French handball goalkeeper .

Martini initially played for the French club OM Vitrolles , with whom he won the French Cup and the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1993 . After the goalkeeper won the championship with Vitrolles in 1994, he moved to Istres Ouest Provence Handball . After only one season Martini returned to Vitrolles, with whom he was again champion in 1996. After the 1.97 m tall Frenchman was active in Spain in the 1996/97 season, he was between the posts at the French club Sporting Toulouse 31 the following season . After winning the cup in 1998, he moved back to Spain.

Martini was active in the 1999/2000 season for Bundesliga club HC Wuppertal . He then played for three years for the French club Montpellier HB , with whom he was champion and cup winner every season. In addition, he won the EHF Champions League with Montpellier in 2003 . Before Martini retired in 2007, he guarded the goal of Paris Handball and USAM Nîmes .

When the THW Kiel had to complain about the injury-related loss of Andreas Palicka in March 2009 , Martini was reactivated by the THW until the end of the season. In 2009 he won the championship and the DHB Cup with the THW .

Martini made 202 appearances for the French national team . With France he won the World Cup in 1995 and 2001 . At the 1997 and 2003 World Cups , he finished third. In addition, Martini took part in the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games.

He and his wife Sonia run the marketing company "MP Sport", which, among other things, looks after the French handball league and several French handball clubs. He is currently the club manager of the French first division club Paris HB.
