Bruno Timm (politician)

Bruno Timm (born September 13, 1940 in Heidmühlen ; † October 25, 1994 ) was a German politician ( CDU ). From 1992 until his death in 1994 he was a member of the state parliament of Schleswig-Holstein .

Life

After completing secondary school , Timm did an administration apprenticeship from 1958 to 1961, and from 1961 to 1972 he was a soldier. In 1972 he passed the special examination for talented students and then studied at the University of Education , in 1975 he passed the 1st state examination . He then worked as a director of studies in adult education until 1983 . From 1984 to 1992 he was an employee and civil servant in the state service. Timm was married and had two children.

From 1963 to 1975 Timm was a member of the German Armed Forces Association . In 1965 he joined the CDU and in 1972 the Christian Democratic Workforce (CDA). In 1975 he joined the ÖTV trade union . In the CDA he became district chairman of the Segeberg district association and deputy state chairman. From 1972 to 1974 and again from 1988 Timm was a member of the district assembly , and since 1990 chairman of the CDU district assembly.

In the state elections in 1992 , he was elected to the state parliament via the CDU state list. After his death, Gero Storjohann replaced him .

The CDA district association Segeberg awards the Bruno Timm Prize for social commitment annually in memory of him .
