Bryan McPherson (born March 18, 1978 in Boston , Massachusetts ) is an American singer-songwriter .

Life

McPherson grew up in Dorchester , a working-class district of Boston, which strongly influenced him and later his music.

Although he mostly only accompanies the singing with guitar and harmonica , he describes his style as folk punk .

McPherson's music is shaped by typical working-class themes, such as oppression by the authorities or the struggle for one's own rights.
