Bryum calophyllum is a moss from the genus pear moss( Bryum ).
features
Bryum calophyllum makes low, brown-green lawns. The leaflets are broadly ovate, hollow and bluntly pointed. Above they are flat-edged and have a narrow, yellowish leaf border. The leaf vein ends below the leaf tip.
The capsule is brown, hangs down, and is egg-shaped. She stands on a long seta .
Occurrence
The species occurs in Eurasia and North America. It grows on moist sand in saline areas on the coast. In Germany it occurs on the East Frisian Islands , on the Flensburg Fjord and on Usedom .
