Bubon ( Greek  Βουβών ) was an ancient city in Asia Minor in northern Lycia ; its ruins are located on Dikmen Tepe near today's place İbecik in Turkey .

The Lycian robber Bubon was considered the mythical founder of the city . In the late Hellenistic period, Bubon belonged to a four-city alliance under the leadership of Kibyra , which lived around 84–82 BC. Was dissolved by the Romans. The city was then a member of the Lycian League and with this became part of the province of Lycia et Pamphylia .

Only a few building remains have survived, including a theater. In the center of the city is an ancient building, which probably served the imperial cult . Numerous bronze statues of emperors and empresses were found here during robbery excavations in the early 1960s, which are now scattered across numerous collections around the world. Some of the finds are exhibited in the Burdur Archaeological Museum . From 2004 to 2006 epigraphic and archaeological field research took place under the direction of Christina Kokkinia (Institute of Greek and Roman Studies, Athens) in Bubon and the surrounding area.
