The Kirchdorf Buch is in the district of Preunschen at 180 m above sea level. NHN on the district road MIL 42 on the upper reaches of the Mud . The Wildenberg ruins are in the south of Buch, and behind it is the state border with Baden-Württemberg . To the northwest is Kirchzell, to the southeast and southwest are Beuchen and Preunschen.

Buch was part of the Preunschen community , which was incorporated into the Kirchzell market on January 1, 1975.
