Buchaberg (also Buchenberg) was a former part of the former municipality of Steinburg , now part of the municipality of Hunderdorf through incorporation . It is located about one and a half kilometers as the crow flies east of Steinburg and about four kilometers northeast of Hunderdorf, on the northern slope of the Hinteres Buchenberg .

The census data confirm the existence of the wasteland as a place to live until at least 1875, when thirteen residents were listed. After the census of 1875, the place is no longer mentioned in the municipality of Steinburg and is now a desert . Immediately to the east was the hamlet of Buchaberg , the former municipality of Obermühlbach, now Neukirchen.

history

In a map from around 1829 the place is called "Loitschhäusel", in the associated repertory the place is called "Buchenberg, (also Loitshhäusel), E.bey Schafberg, 1 H." described. In the address book of 1837 it can be found as Buchaberg in the municipality of Steinburg. The first recording from the period between 1808 and 1864 shows a building in Buchaberg (Buchenberg). An auction announcement describes the property in 1850 as a residential building of mixed construction with a stable and barn under one roof, an oven and a total of 4.46 days of work .
