Buchberg bei Ilz is a village and a cadastral municipality in the market town of Ilz in Styria .
Buchberg is located north of Ilz in the gusset between the Ilztal and Feistritztal . Although Buchberg is closer to the Feistritz, it can only be reached from the smaller Ilz. The place is dominated by agriculture and known for the cultivation of cherries. The cadastral community bears the name Buchberg .
On January 1, 1968, the municipalities of Buchberg bei Ilz, Ilz, Kalsdorf bei Ilz, Kleegraben, Mutzenfeld, Neudorf bei Ilz and Reigersberg were merged to form the municipality of Ilz.
