Buckow is a district of the official city of Dahme / Mark in the Brandenburg district of Teltow-Fläming .

Geographical location

The district is in the north of the urban area and borders on Baruth / Mark . Buckow borders the Wahlsdorf district to the west and the Steinreich community to the east . The L711 road runs through the town in a west-east direction and the L705 road south to Gebersdorf .

history

Buckow was first mentioned in a document in 1346. The name is of Slavic origin and means something like beech . In the village of Anger , a total of 16 fire places, a windmill, a jug and a forge have been handed down from the 18th century. On August 5, 1928, an open-air swimming pool opened , which has not been usable since 2007 for structural reasons. Since then, a development association has endeavored to renovate and reopen.

From 1635 to 1815 the place belonged to the Saxon office of Dahme .
