The Budweiser 400 was a race in the NASCAR Winston Cup , which was held annually from 1970 to 1988 on the Riverside International Raceway . The racing distance was 400 miles until 1976 when it was reduced to 249 miles. It was the second race on the Riverside International Raceway. The other was the Winston Western 500 .
