Bulgarian Eagle (Bulgarian Бългериън Ийгъл ) was a Bulgarian airline with headquarters in Sofia and a wholly owned subsidiary of Germania investment company.

history

The subsidiary was founded in 2017 and should concentrate on the ACMI business with its own Bulgarian operating license . Bulgarian Eagle received her AOC on August 3, 2017. The first machine (LZ-AOA) was initially stationed for Germania in London-Gatwick and flight operations started on August 4, 2017 with a flight to Skiathos. In May 2018, another A319-100 with the registration LZ-AOC was flown in, which operated from Zurich for Germania Flug . In mid-2018, the former Germania authorized signatory Sieghard Jähn became Managing Director for Bulgarian Eagle.

On February 4, 2019, the parent company, Germania Fluggesellschaft GmbH, filed for bankruptcy at the Berlin-Charlottenburg district court. On March 8, 2019, Bulgarian Eagle also filed for bankruptcy with the Sofia City Court.
