Viaggio Air was a Bulgarian airline based in Sofia and based at Sofia Airport .
history
Viaggio Air was founded on September 14, 2002 and carried out its first flight on February 27, 2003 with a used ATR 42-300 . At first she mainly flew to Vienna and Budapest , later flights to Kiev and Athens were also planned. However, in 2005 the Bulgarian airline Hemus Air took over 100% of the airline and thus also received the rights to fly to these destinations.
Since 2007, the three Bulgarian airlines Bulgaria Air , Hemus Air and Viaggio Air have been wholly owned by Hemus Air with joint management. Since September 2007, all flights have only been operated under the flight number of Bulgaria Air and by the beginning of 2009 the brand names Hemus Air and Viaggio Air were also given up in favor of Bulgaria Air . Viaggio Air was subsequently dissolved.
