ALK Airlines is a Bulgarian charter airline with headquarters in Sofia .

history

The airline was founded in 2016 and was originally flight operations with two of the Insel Air originating Fokker 100 record. However, one of the two machines was sold to Iran Air in June 2016 ; the other machine continued to operate until spring 2017. Along with Bulgarian Air Charter, Alk Airlines is the only McDonnell Douglas MD-82 operator in Bulgaria today . The airline is part of Air Lubo. The company received the Air Operator Certificate (AOC) back in 2013.
