Vega Airlines was a Bulgarian cargo airline based in Sofia and based at Plovdiv Airport .

history

Vega Airlines was founded in 1998 and, with its Antonov An-12, offered charter flights mainly to Europe and the Middle East.

On February 21, 2007 Vega Airlines was added to the list of operating bans for the airspace of the European Union , together with four other companies from Bulgaria , and the Bulgarian aviation authority banned flights in or over the territory of the EU.

Vega Airlines has been operating as Cargo Air since November 2007 .
