The Bund Nürnberger Studenten (BNSt) e. V. is an amalgamation of Nuremberg corporations at the Technical University of Nuremberg Georg Simon Ohm and Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg . It was founded in 1997 after two years of preliminary discussions with the aim of maintaining color students in Nuremberg .

Description of the BNSt

Special feature: Fuxenpool

A special feature of the BNSt was the so-called "Fuxen pool" , i.e. H. the member associations waive their own fuses . All Füxe und Fähen - the female "equivalents" - are introduced in the BNSt Fuxen-Pool in the connection system and only decide on your "surf", the transition from the blatant Fux to the Brandfux after the first member semester , in which of the member connections you after yours Fuxenzeit want to be accepted as an active member. The prerequisite is that they meet the acceptance criteria of the desired federal government. Since the summer semester of 2013 it has been decided that Füxes may decide whether they want to be included in the Fuxenpool or directly to a federation as Fux.

Joint events

The BNSt is also characterized by the fact that the semester inaugural and ex-pubs are held alternately in a different federal or pub of one of the member associations in each semester. In addition to the joint BNSt events, there are still individual liaison events of each federal government (foundation festivals, excursions, round tables, etc.).

Joint events of the BNSt member unions are:

  • Semester kick-off bar
  • End of semester bar (ex bar)
  • Surf bars
  • BNSt-Gründungskommers (Foundation Festival) (Nov./Dec.)
  • Morning pint of the Nuremberg corporations (usually at the end of July)
  • Nuremberg City Foundation Commissioner (July 16)

City founder of the city of Nuremberg

At the request of the then Lord Mayor of the City of Nuremberg, Ludwig Scholz ( CSU ), the Nuremberg City Founding Commissioner was brought into being in 1999 to celebrate the city's founding as part of a Kommerse .

Since the 950th anniversary of the city of Nuremberg on July 16, 2000, the Kommers has alternated with the CDA in the historic Nuremberg town hall on July 16 of each year. Further information can always be found on the website of the BNSt or the CDA.

Colours

City arms of Nuremberg: golden virgin eagle on a blue background

The association colors blue-gold-blue are derived from the large city coat of arms of Nuremberg , which shows a golden virgin eagle on a blue background. With this choice of colors, the BNSt expresses the regional ties to the city of Nuremberg.

The BNSt differentiates between the new members, the Fuxes , between the Krassfuxes in the first connection semester and the Brandfuxes in the second connection semester. The Krassfuxen wear the colors, seen from top to bottom, blue-gold and the Brandfuxen gold-blue. The BNSt-Fuxen cap consists of a blue cap body with a gold cap.

Wearing the blue-gold-blue boys' ribbon is reserved for the members of the BNSt board. The BNSt-Fuxmajor, who is responsible for the introduction and support of all Fuxes in the BNSt-Fuxenpool, wears the BNSt lady's ribbon crossed to his own connecting ribbon.

Scaling question

Due to the different orientation of the frets, some frets are "non-flapping", while others are "free flapping" or "facultative flapping". As part of the Fuxen-Pool, drumming lessons are currently being given in the BNSt for foxes and active people and also sharp games are played on the scale , but currently only at the Burschenschaft Bavaria.
