The Federal Police Training Center Kührointhaus ( BPOLTZK ) is a training center of the Federal Police on the Kührointalm in the area of the community Schönau am Königssee , directly on the border to Ramsau near Berchtesgaden at the foot of the Watzmann .

geography

The property is located in the Berchtesgaden Alps at the foot of the Watzmann at an altitude of 1420  m above sea level. NHN . To the south is the Archenkanzel , to the east the terrain slopes steeply over 800 meters to the Königssee .

history

The Kührointalm , which at that time comprised 5 Kaser, is mentioned as early as the 1810s .

In 1937 the German Wehrmacht built the Kührointhaus as a mountain base on the edge of the alpine pasture area for mountain training. The alpine pasture management disrupted and the alpine pasture rights were expropriated unless there was a willingness to redeem or exchange. In 1945 the presence of the Wehrmacht on Kühroint ended.

The building has been used by the Federal Border Police (BGS), now the Federal Police, since 1956 . The equipment with seminar technology on the one hand, and the seclusion of the Berghaus on the other, offer favorable framework conditions for the implementation of seminars and events by domestic and foreign security authorities. Participants in the seminars are mainly special forces , executives and closed units of the Federal Police. Every year around 2300 seminar participants come to the Kührointhaus.
