The Bundesverband eMobilität eV ( BEM ) is an interest group promoting electric mobility in Germany.

aims

The federal association was founded in 2009. He is committed to converting mobility in Germany to low-emission drive types with the use of renewable energies . To this end, the legal framework and equal opportunities when switching to electromobility are to be improved. According to his own statements, he wants to achieve this goal by networking actors from business, politics and the media. The association is recorded in the public list through the registration of associations and their representatives .

The association is not only pursuing its goals in Germany. B. with the organization of a hall for electromobility as part of the Automechanika in September 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018 and the Hypermotion 2017 and 2018, but also internationally, such as B. as part of the Automechanika Shanghai from December 2012 to 2019.

Members

The association currently has around 300 company members, mainly from the fields of vehicle construction, electrical engineering, transport and renewable energies. Well-known member companies include a. Allianz Automotive, BavariaDirekt, BayWa, Clever Shuttle, e.GO, Erwin Hymer Group SE , Opel , IAV, LEW, Tesla, EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg , Mitsubishi Motors Germany , Messe Frankfurt, NIO, Nissan, Power2Drive, Renault Germany , Sono Motors, swarco, The Mobility House, The New Motion, Kia, Jaguar, ZF, GLS Bank, Ziehl-Abegg, Zurich, Repower AG and TÜV Rheinland .

construction

The association currently has ten state representations in Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Rhineland-Palatinate, Schleswig-Holstein, Saarland, Central Germany (seat: Leipzig and Dresden) and northern Germany (seat: Hamburg) as well as one Representation in Brussels, headed by Dr. Ingo Friedrich , President of the European Economic Senate and Vice-President of the European Parliament a. D. (1999-2007). Dr. Huang Zhiming from Tongji University in Shanghai supports the BEM as China representative. The Danish-Dutch windsurfer Bjørn Dunkerbeck , one of the most successful professional athletes in the world, has been supporting the Federal Association of eMobility as the official ambassador in Gran Canaria since January 2015.

The parliamentary advisory board includes a. Wolfgang Tiefensee , Andreas Jung , Andreas Rimkus , Valerie Wilms and the first European MP for Free Voters, Ulrike Müller . The Scientific Advisory Board supports you with specific specialist skills. His tasks include: the expansion and maintenance of continuous contacts with the parties represented in the German Bundestag, the support of the BEM by personalities experienced in political operations, as well as increasing the knowledge transfer between industry and politics in the field of electromobility. In the six-monthly meetings of the Parliamentary Advisory Board, the BEM discusses the political agenda and discusses political initiatives with the actors involved.
